Because parents. There's so much shit that you could experience as an adult, and none of it means anything to you as a high schooler, you'd retain nothing.Whenever I run into problems I don't know how to handle, I just Google it or call my dad.I disagree. I feel like public schools should teach basic things related to finance at the latter part of high school since you're almost an adult at that point.Does your school not offer econ courses? It did, but Econ and finance are two different things.

but you might as well get the full details of finance so you'll know how to challenge them in life.
Quote from: Lord Starch on October 27, 2015, 08:56:29 PMbut you might as well get the full details of finance so you'll know how to challenge them in life.I'm a financially stable adult that learned some stuff in econ, but I wouldn't even know what kind of things to include in that class, and I know with near certainty that most of it would go in one ear and out the other because it's not relevant. There's so much other information to be learned in high school that it's really not necessary to include life lessons which are learned through experience, especially when we have access to so much information these days.School is academic, not practical.
