How can I improve my reading speed and comprehension?

Have access to any book I want

starting to read more again (philosophy, spirituality, and psychology) so I can become an egoless transcendent human being who is also the pinnacle of physical perfection

id like to read as many books as possible, any tips on how to read faster while also improving the amount of info I actually learn?

Inb4 be less dumb

Also any book recommendations? Non fiction please

lol jk, reading is something that really should just be done at your own pace, and i feel like it's unnecessary to worry about your reading speed especially if you're doing it for enjoyment/knowledge. as for comprehension, writing down the main points of what i just read usually helps my comprehension but you gotta find what works for you

You can't be an egoless transcendent being and still have an affinity with your physical form.

Anyways, Learn to skim but still take in as much information as possible. Reading a book doesn't mean you have to sound out every single word in your head like you're reciting the thing for someone else to hear. As long as you recognize whatever is trying to be conveyed, then you're golden.
