Exorcism is a classic, but I've already seen it way too often. And A Serbian Film is hardly horror. Shock value and extreme societal commentary is all it has going for it, really.

Yeah, I agree, but there are the week hearted who flip out at it.

Conjuring is pretty good. Rec 1 and 2 too, although they are a little more bloody. Mama and The Orphanage also sparked my interest, but mainly because of the atmosphere.

Generally, I'm just tired of all the paranormal stuff they try to make me watch. It doesn't really scare me. Plus my friend is terrified of anything with possessions, so we don't watch those, either.

Oh, and Mama was really meh, I thought.

I love horror movies, but they're not as great these days. I've yet to find a horror movie that has scared me.

I just don't like getting scared, it's not like I can't handle it, but I find it's such an unpleasent feeling

I also have an over active imagination.
They fuck me up good afterwards when my mind starts seeing things and getting paranoid.
It's probably just something with the way I am, on top of my imagination.
I feel like I should enjoy them, but I never do.

Are you sure "horror" is what you're looking for? Sounds to me like you're more into some of the scarier thriller stuff. What was a horror movie you really liked?

Personally, I liked Alien, The Thing, and The Shining. And I thought A Haunting in Connecticut was a good movie, but not scary.
