he's probably gonna be Randyll Tarly. He fits their casting call almost to a T. I imagine theyre messing with Sam's storyline and having him meet gilly and her son at Horn Hill before he gets to Oldtown. Maybe right as Randyll leaves for KL.

Victarion's important enough to get an actor like Ian McShane, but they haven't even hinted at the Greyjoy plot yet. By now they're supposed to have arrived at Meereen, ready to fuck shit up and claim a dragon. With so many important characters relocating to Essos, I can see them spending a lot of time on those plot threads, building up for some sort of invasion in seasons 7 and the final battles in 8.

Randyll Tarly is almost entirely unimportant, especially now that his interactions with Brienne are cut.

Victarion Greyjoy, the Lord Captain of the Iron Fleet of Pyke and one of the greatest warriors alive. He wears full plate during naval battle because he has no fear of drowning.
