yeah it is really good. it reminds me of the first season of game of thrones, how you're thrown into this world that's already been through so much yet you feel the biggest story will unfold over the next couple of years as you experience it.

also i forgot to mention a few characters ive really taken a liking to

1. zabuza and his sidekick, haku. i like adrogynous characters and he fits the bill. not enough screen time though, and haku was a tad poorly written. zabuzas redemption was handled well.

2. jaraiah (think thats how tou spell it). hes like, a more believable master roshi. i love how subtely they confirmed him to be one of the 3 sonin (idk how u spell that either), with the other two being orochimaru and the 4th hokage. seeing them young in the opening is cool too.

The Fourth Hokage isn't one of the three Sanin, you meet the third Sanin (not saying who) in the next arc.

oh, i just assumed the 4th hokage was the third sanin when they kept lumping him in with the other 2.

jiraiyah looking at naruto's seal: "hmm... the 4th hokage's work... clever man. but what's this? another seal? this one is far more crude. if i had to guess, it's the work of orochimaru."

plus young jiraiyah and orochimaru are in the intro with a 3rd guy who vaguely resembles the 4th hokage

finally finished this arc. that ending battle between the ninetailed fox and shokoku was amazing. its really nice to actually like the main character of an anime for once. naruto is extremely enjoyable.

it looks like we'll get some itachi stuff now though so i'm hyped for that.

jiraiyah and naruto just recruited tsunade and defeated orochimaru and kabuto

some things

-can't tell if itachi is cool or not - we'll see
-kakashi is my favourite character now (i've just really taken a liking to him)
-jiraiyah is another character I've really taken a liking to
-tsunade would be cool if she wasn't a whore
-orochimaru's plan is coming together ... from what i can gather, itachi is one of, if not, the strongest member of the akatske, and orochimaru can't square up to him. he needs the sharigan and the hakegenkai (?) of the uchiha clan, which is why he needs sasuke and his abilities and will likely pull a captain ginyu with him
-naruto's dad is def the 4th hokage. the 3rd sanin is tsunade so that makes the 4th hokage (and kakashi's master) naruto's dad

also i've been wondering where kakashi got his sharigan from, it nevver really dawned on me until he met with itachi that he shouldn't have one

he doesn't seem to have any sort of guilt when he's with sasuke so i don't think he killed an uchiha to take it... he probably stole one from one of the guys itachi killed

10 bucks it's sasuke's dad or something, just cuz it's naruto

the kekkei genkai of the uchiha clan is the sharingan

but the uchihas have another part to their kekkei genkai that is required to survive one of itatchi's juijutsu... kakashi wasn't supposed to be able to endure it because he didn't have it, despite having the sharingan
