Honestly the fan base really fucked up the show, I don't think the makers are going to be too thrilled to make another season with how toxic their fan base is.

But although this article is just trying to get views it does have a point there is a population of idiots roaming around online either teenage or adults who have not grown up, jumping on stupid crusades that are worth nothing other than to win some internet points. Trying to cling to some stupid things to make them feel superior

no idea. the anti-GG people bring it up all the god damn time and then when someone who was pro-GG makes a response they start going on about how it doesn't matter and you shouldn't talk about it.

It hasn't been relevant since 2014, so I don't see why anyone still brings it up. It's only relevant insofar as it was the launching pad for what is now referred to as the alt-right.

There was some thing that set it off about a dev fucking some kotaku guy for coverage of her shitty powerpoint presentation she was selling on steam. The news blew up, in response a bunch of game journalist sites got together and published a bunch of identical articles declaring "gamers are dead". Somehow Anita Sarkeesian's name ends up involved. World War 3 begins on twitter. Phil Fish continues to be a sperglord as normal.
