I still have mine. 92 Ford Ranger. Not as heavy duty as other trucks but it gets things done. Had it for 5 years now. I intend to fix it when it breaks.

My first car was a silver '95 Dodge Avenger coupe, lowered and on some 18" alloys. That car taught me how shoddy I am at electrical work... and then my Impala taught me just how uncomfortable those coilovers actually were.

I don't think they're the pinnacle. They're just a good first car which happens to also be cool. Plus I wish I could buy Burberry, but it's too expensive and my bills come first.

My point is that there's probably not too many cars or wagons that are able to cross that. For a wagon it's almost like an SUV that just has limited off road abilities. For a shit vehicle it's able to do things most vehicles can't withing its class.
