How does one get skin oil out of metal?

T4R. I've got some metal here. Pretty sure it's steel. On one particular spot it's yellowed by oil from the skin from excessive handling. I was wondering if any of you knew how to get the said oil off. It is a smooth metal with a lighter grey finish.

Soap or any other non-caustic degreaser or solvent? Sanding sounds like the only option after that.
