Cambodia is the single most beautiful country in the world. Siam Reap (where Angkor Wat is) is mind blowing. Phnom Penh (the capital) is a shit hole, but no where near India in terms of poverty.

I don't know if you went to the poorer parts but jesus christ I really want to shoot everyone. You were probably scammed by so many people because you weren't Cambodian. It's ridiculous how quickly they change once they realize you're actually Cambodian. Siem Reap is a nice place, I mean, it's really touristy and all I saw were Koreans and shit, but other than that, it's cool. It's funny though, I remember when I went to Angkor Wat, they stopped me because I was really americanized, and then when I spoke cambodian to me, they seriously told me to fuck off. They don't make Cambodians pay, which was cool. Only tourists.

I'm truly saddened to hear this. I found the country beautiful. People are terrible everywhere I guess. I hope you don't judge your background based on that.
