Have you lost anyone close to you so far in life?

If so who and share your memories of them because positivity and stuff!

I have lost 4 people who I was very close to. 3 were old girlfriends in highschool and the last was my grandmother. My grandmother lost a battle with cancer back in 2012. Then the summer of 2012 the girl I had been best friends with for years and been with intimately for the last few months took her own life. Then an ex of mine ended her own life 2 years later in my junior year and then this past December the first girlfriend I ever had's heart failed and passed away the night after I went to visit her.

I lost my father sometime in the early morning of March 1 this year. We believe it was from a heart attack.

Father died back in February of 2014, pancreatic cancer.

Not really. Lost a Grandfather and Grandmother bon different sides of the family before I was born, so I never had the chance to get close. Other Grandfather had a close shave with cancer, but otherwise everyone close is relatively fit and kicking.

That's not to say I've lost people though. Two distant friends at school died (one hit by a truck, another jumped off a bridge with a rope) and my great-gran died when I was quite little. Oh and a shit-ton of cats, chickens, and my dog.

Not really. I'm not too close with my extended family as I only ever see them at most once a year, and I moved around a lot when I was younger so I didn't really get attached to people.

Lost my grandfather a little over a year ago. I spent about 16 years living with him and my grandmother.

I lost one of my grandmas when I was 12. I wasn't close to her but it was really sad to see family go through that. My dad hasn't been the same ever since.
