Last day of 7th grade i walked to my grandma's brother's house since i had no one to pick me up and his house was close by. He was bedridden and died about 2 hours after i left his house.

Well yeah actually. I walked in on my next door neighbor to say goodbye to her right before she passed. It was a few days before she passed but cancer got to her real bad, so she was delusional, looking around, moaning. It was actually really hard to see when she was always so wise and cheerful.

I feel sorry for her partner though, really. She had to go through all that.

My father.

I left about an hour before it happened though. I couldn't be in the room, seeing him in a half asleep/delirious state while his body was failing was too much.

I haven't, luckily. I saw my step-grandfather (Think that's the appropriate term, but it's sort of weird to read) during his last day battling with cancer, but he wasn't awake so I didn't get to say anything to him- I guess that's also the closest I've come to seeing someone pass away. He was a good man and the only grandfather figure I had on that side of my family, I was too young when my grandfather was alive to have any memories of him.

It's funny, I've known a lot people who've died, friends from being a motorcyclist or people I've met in my careers... and I've listened to some bone chilling ATC recordings that make me never want to be up in that tower, but I've never seen it myself.
