Hard to explain

Long story short trying to explain what a soldier job is to a 5 year old is hard.

Most 5 year old see the world as a happy place were everyone is friendly to one another. I couldn't explain what I do.

Like if the kid gets the concept of a gun then what's so hard about adding a soldier on the trigger?
