The issue arises in that by the time 4 rolled around, Halo had and identifiable, iconic sound pioneered by Marty. Not every track was a hit, and hell the series even lost some of it's synth sounds from CE. But there's a sound and style to Halo, even Halo Wars mostly had it, that was lacking in 4. It's a case like Dark Souls II, it's a bad Souls game, but not necessarily a bad game.i just think that's a dumb argument, because all you get when you try to copy the "halo sound" is generic bullshit. the new trilogy has a very different style than the old one (in that it was supposed to be actually good) and the soundtrack fit it better than any of the other games did.you really are just trying to start shit at this pointOf course a game in a series should keep its sound. It can evolve over time, but compare ME to ME3. They're wildly different, but ME at least had its own identity whereas ME3 was the definition of generic. The music of Halo was different with each game but still constrained enough to be identified with Halo as a seriesthe problem is, "halo sound" is so dubious that it makes no sense to try and follow it, and all you get is marty ass lickers that try to copy him. as a result you get generic bullshit like the halo 5 soundtrack.What5 sounded nothing like og Halo. Spartan Assault sounded more Halo

You lookin to stir shit up, boy?
Problem is the soundtrack from 1 to 3 had an emotion that fit with the game. The fourth one although good, is not memorable.

Hell I can't even remember what the campaign was about.

i was actually going to bump this thread because i went back and listemed to each soundteack in the seriesi can still confidently say that its mostly garbage and that halo 4's is the best one, but ODST's is freaking awesome i can't lie.when marty ventures off the beaten path to do some more unique sounding stuff, he's at his best. under cover of night, in amber clad. these are great. but when he goes back to that """halo sound""" it just feels vapid and soulless.halo 4 > odst > CE > Reach > 2 > 3
YouTubeYou see this kind of shit is exactly why I have wet dreams about Bonnie Ross gunning down a crowd of Halo fans at E3 in cold blood
