I've been incredibly reserved on WW since DC's live-action track record has been....complete dogshit.  However, this movie does look interesting even though it just looks like Captain America: The First Avenger: Feminism Edition.  Think I'll just play it safe and use my free movie ticket reward so that, if letdown by the movie, I won't feel completely bad.

Just got back from it, so here are a few HOT TAKES before I watch this:

- Good movie. 7/10 (on the superhero movie scale). First time a DC movie has felt shorter than its length. Gal Gadot is awesome. Chris Pine is cool.
- The "character who is isolated from society has problems functioning in one; humor ensues" trope has kind of been beaten to death, but I thought Gal Gadot sold it well nonetheless. The humor in general was pretty weak.
- I'm very surprised so many people seem to like it, considering the relatively moderate feminist themes present.
- Loved the little twist and how it was handled, but felt it could've been executed/built up to a little better.
Spoiler
I was given no reason to suspect that Thewlis's character was evil, but I also wasn't given any reason to suspect that he wasn't.
- Despite taking place during WWI, the dialogue (especially the humor) contained a lot of 21st century-isms that bothered me. I had this issue with Fantastic Beasts, and it's almost as bad here.
Spoiler
- I saw Steve's death coming a mile away. As soon as his romance with Diane started blooming, I knew he was a goner.
- The effect on Dr. Poison's voice was extremely dumb and over-the-top, and it took me out of the movie several times. Her character was fine, but I couldn't take her seriously when she spoke, because her vocal editors tried too hard to make her sound extra menacing, but it just came out laughable to me.

Overall, I'm very pleased with how it turned out, but I'm sure it even had more flaws that I totally missed.
