I think you're reading into the situation waaaaay too much. If ya see her again, ask her if you've done something to offend her or anything of the sort; No sense in pestering yourself over something you do not know.
It's one thing to be nice like you are to everyone when working; I'm like that to people when I'm at work even though I think they're total dip-shits. It's another thing entirely to get excited over asking me about things unrelated to your work and then look/seem upset when I instinctively say no the possibility of continuing the conversation without thinking.
