sorry for mentioning it so much but as some of you will know I'm joining the pc squad. as I check my delivery status it's ready for dispatch and will drop off at my house tomorrow. however I started thinking and basically wtf is the point. £1200/$2000 for a laptop I'll play games with once or twice a week.
I don't need a powerful system, gaming excluded all I use a pc for is this place, youtube, assignments and general browsing.

Wouldn't it be better to just return it, get a basic bitch of a laptop for like £300 and then buy myself a ps4 or xbone?

I'd save a hefty £600/$1000 to buy your mothers gifts.

What would you mr fgt do??

Hmm.
I don't really know much about all that, but I'm pretty sure laptops are bitches to upgrade as they require soldering to put back together.
As opposed to just opening the tower of a desktop PC and slotting in and out what you want.

What I'm getting at there is, if you don't thing you'll use it much, I wouldn't bother sinking that much money into it. You won't really be able to upgrade it, so if you don't use it much, you'll end up spending that much money on something that could be relatively out of date for when you want to play new/games.

yeah the only postive thing is that I could essentially get games for free on pc because well you know >.> and they're generally cheaper. but yeah I hate I didn't think of this before buying man, why am i so dumd?

You'd probably also need to invest in a controller and an extra accessory or two.
While not much compared to the PC itself, still a costly thing when you've spent so much already.

Get a mid-tier PC.

It will still outperform the Current Gen consoles and allow mods and all the things that make gaming good.
