Plot was sort of predictable for this Ep, but I loved it anyway.

Battle of Winterfell was just ass. Love Yara and Dany, though.

Fuck all of you shitting on how Rickon died. He's had a total of an hour of screen time in six seasons. Of course he was gonna die.

Now, the battle was pretty good.

And... I could have fucked to Ramsey getting eaten by his dogs.

All in all I give the episode a B+. It didn't have the epicness of the battle for Hard Home, but it was satisfying.

But now the chess pieces are almost in position. Dany has her fleet, the North is held by Jon and Sansa, the Lannisters in the south, and the Night King north of the wall.

Season 7 is gonna be a bloodbath.

Loved how the battle just showed how horrifying and chaotic a medieval battle really is.

The only thing that didn't make sense was the piles of bodies. They either left how those got there out, or it was plot connivence. People don't die in heaps like that.

Well there was a huge moshpit of cavalry/infantry, and I guess the film crew didn't want to spend precious 20 minutes showing people just dying and falling into a pile.  I just kind of accepted it because it made for some nice TV:  An enemy shield wall pinning our heroes against a wall of dead bodies as Umber badasses fuck them in the ass.

Hmmm, did anyone also notice that Lord Umber seemed hesitant to attack Jon?

First good episode of the season tbh

alright someone help me out here. what route did the knights of the vale take that made it so ramsay had no idea a host was coming his way?


my thoughts: the most logical route is that they took ships around the east coast, around the fingers, landed at white harbor and marched from there. if lord lamprey is in the show i imagine he will be revealed next episode and it will be explained that he declared for the northern/vale alliance and allowed LF's army to roll on through. they couldnt have just marched north through the neck, and i think the only other workable route is a trip around the east coast landing at ramsgate (who are allied with house manderly) and going up the river to hornwood then on to winterfell.

if i were LF i use the white harbor route.

The way those horse soldiers engaged each other is realistic. In real life they did get that close to each other and the battles ended up being fought on top of piles of bodies. Anyway those 62 good men were the only reason why John lasted until the Vale arrived.

That was the strategy Ramsay planned.

if they had actually thought to give wun wun a weapon he could have just cleared a path once ramsay's army formed up. hell even without a weapon im pretty sure he could have just jumped over the shield wall or started stomping them.

Ramsay was the illegitimate leader of the north it's not like many people were going to fight him so he didn't really have much men to work with.
