Those storms the Ice Walkers generate are colder than what the environment normally is, so the ice would refreeze to be thicker.

As we know fire to wights is like kryptonite to Superman, so wouldn't Viserion ignite himself the moment he breathes fire? I know he wouldn't point his head at his body and do it, but the fire would still generate inside of him and come out of his mouth which may be some splashback.

If there's one thing I've taken from this episode it's that Beric Dondarrion has an amazing voice

The show makes some pretty bad decisions, but I do prefer Beric over Lady Stoneheart personally

good thing the night king is going to ride on a dragon into battle and get mercd like dany should have 5x times over

when if he would just sit back untouchable behind his multi hundred thousand strong army he'd be untouchable

The fuck? Since when was it established canon that wights have specific symbiotic relationships? They're literally contradicting themselves at this point just so they can get an ebic 1v1 between Jon and the Night King.

It also doesn't explain why they'd burn bodies, if the White Walkers literally have to touch every single wight they make. Haven't we seen dead guys beyond the wall turn into wights before?

Fuck, I hate thinking about the show. It just makes it worse.

It would've been fine if Jon had said fuck it, I'm not going on the dragon until I kill that motherfucker, then gone forward and fought the Night King.

I assume Viserion is going to be breathing ice instead of fire.

Lady Stoneheart is irrelevant in the show now anyways, her sole purpose was to hunt down and kill all of the Freys and Arya did that in like 5 mins anyways

Here's the director of the episode basically telling fans that the show is popular and to not think too hard and enjoy it.

β€œIt’s funny...I did see one review where he just could not get past the airspeed velocity of a raven. If the show was struggling, if it wasn’t finding an audience, I would be up in arms about that and trying to press back, but it actually just made me laugh,” says Taylor.

β€œYou’ve got a [dragon] that’s bigger than a [Boeing] 747 [plane] with seven people riding on its back, and you’re worried about the speed of a raven being believable. OK, obviously, we’re not doing our jobs correctly for you, but it seems to be working for a lot of other people.”

Taylor adds: β€œI know some people...it’s funny, because they’re just torturing themselves. They want to like the show.... The guy I was reading, he obviously got a protractor out and a ruler to measure how fast a raven would get from here to there. But hopefully that didn’t bog down too many people.”

I mean, I get it...nobody's confused about why they're doing it, it's just that the show went from being one of the most grounded takes on low fantasy with fleshed-out characters and themes to just a barrage of set pieces and plot points. It's pretty embarrassing for the director when he laughs at his fans because they scrutinize the consistency and quality of the story.

well nig, he's deviated a lot from the books. He's working with his own material now rather than someone else's.

I think at the end Arya was offering her services if Sansa wanted someone dead.  Could be wrong but nothing much made sense behind their weird dynamic toward each other

Did the white walkers have that giant mile long chain and collar laying around just in case a dragon shows up?

Seen some comments about how they were near Hardhome, a port town, which would have chains for ships. But the real answers is to just turn your brain off and enjoy it.

I doubt a Freefolk fishing village has ships big enough to need chains

Get of my lawn
Ok, I thought they established in seasons one and three that if you died north of the wall, you came back. If that's the case then all they had to do is kill an mandatory volunteer and voila, white walker captive. Hardholm retconnned this a bit, but leaves some unanswered questions. If the nights watchmen who reanimated in Castle Black were killed by White Walkers, then they're already at the wall. So why the long walk? I mean the daughter fucking Gilly's dad was only a few days from the wall, and the Night's King was there to turn a baby. But why did the Wildlings burn their dead?

This episode played out like a Zack Snyder DC movie. VERY cool visuals, but so many plot holes.
