Or, if you want a far more likely option that will get you money more quickly, just get a job. You mentioned once that you'd love it if you got paid to just sit and think, right? That's basically what I do in maintenance, except I also occasionally mop up floors and restock shelves. There's loads of time for thinking because there's not much else to do.

I'd take a guess that you live in the city/suberbs. Look for houses and check out the paint condition. If you see peeling paint, you have a potential customer.

The difficulty with painting doesn't lie with painting itself, however. It's sanding the paint off, putting prep coats on, and then the final coats. Literally all you need is some sandpaper, a roller, a paintbrush, and a ladder of suffient height.

The difficult part is knowing the right price to charge, and estimating your costs for supplies. These are all based off your location. But it's an incredibly basic trade to learn that's universal no matter where you travel. Even a small house can net you an easy 500-600 bucks.
