Are College "safety zones" still a thing?

Kinda defeats the point of a college if you're going to restrict ideas and free speech.

the only time college should be a safety zone is a guarantee i wont die in one from an attack. not someone having a different opinion than me

They tried to make one at my school. The students didn't accept it.

Not all slander is banter. But I think most people are cool about respecting boundaries with sensitive topics, so Safe zones shouldn't be needed. A lot of people are pretty shy when it comes to approaching somebody about harassment, so I can see why it became a major idea in the first place.
