Give me reasons why I should upgrade FROM Windows 7

Like, 8 was utter balls, 10, really doesnt look any different, my PC is constantly telling me I should for free....but why should I? There is absolutely nothing wrong with 7, why should I upgrade?

Iunno, tbh, lad.
If you have a Xbone there are some extra features that come with upgrading. Otherwise there are the things you prolly already know about like the UI, Cortana and almost absolute transparency of your data unless you turn off a lot of stuff in the settings.

So, teah... Can't help you much with that.

I dunno, 8.1 is pretty good with Classic Shell. All the minor benefits of 8 but without the annoying Start screen panels.

That said, I'm not upgrading from here either. I don't need 10.

Perfomance wise Windows 10 is better. Just read up on the features offered in Windows 10, and maybe on some of its controversies and you probably will have a picture of the cons and pros of upgrading. I mean, I could tell you how it violates your privacy and that Microsoft is nuts, but I've got tired of saying these things again and again, nobody ever listens.

Windows 8 and 8.1 were really good, and 10 is a nice improvement on it, especially if you prefer the Windows 7 layout. 10 is a good mix of 7 and 8.

Actually, I've heard Windows 10 feels a lot like 7, with some cool new features. Problems arise if you have even the slightest concern for privacy.

They had to skip it because 7 8 9

*cough* I think the other problem was a technical one related to backwards compatibility: some programs for Windows 95/98 wouldn't care about the second digit so they'd just have 'Windows 9' in the code.

OT: I'm not going to be upgrading from 7. When I get a new PC I imagine there won't be much of a choice to stick Win7 on it so I'll go with 10 then, but eh.

Better, but less privacy. Honestly most hate is because people cannot deal with things being slightly different. People have problems with change when it cones to computer or life in general.

I'm personally waiting for a few of the privacy concerns to be addressed before I upgrade. That directX 12 makes it tempting to upgrade early though.
