It's a reboot. If they cast all Academy Award winning comedic actors and threw a billion dollars at the production, it would still fall flat.

In all seriousness, I really want Hollywood to start doing original shit again. Stop rebooting, making sequels and bringing to life our favorite cartoons and comics.

What's sad is that everyone is still a 90's kid. You don't have to have seen the original cartoon. Just watch the live action adaptation of it. You're all 90's kids now.

Hopefully someone will die in whatever department that chooses which movies get made and the person will make at least one studio come up with some original shit.

I know Ghostbusters is a dead franchise and all, but the original movies at least had charm and mild horror for their time.

I understand that maybe women are underepresented in Hollywood, but when you try and crowbar women into roles they don't fit just for the sake of having women in a movie, it doesn't exactly solve the problem.
Not to mention the blatant stereotyping and stale humour, the recipe for any disastrous movie.

How is anyone supposed to take this issue seriously when they pump out this garbage?

Replacing all the actresses with men wouldn't save this. It genuinely looks like a piece of shit movie.

I feel like the only movie that's done female representation or empowerment well lately was Mad Max. Mainly because, as you said, shoehorning characters in for the sake of having them there isn't the solution.

It's like that gay dude in Mass Effect 3 and that trans person in dragon age 3. Stale carboard characters who are just there to make a statement rather than have any charm as a character.

Furiosa wasn't shoehorned in for the sake of things.
