AMA Getting a Second Job

Currently looking for one. I've reached that point in my life where I'm honestly bored out of my fucking mind when I'm not on the clock, making that money cash money.

I'm already working food service and am thinking of going to a gas station for late/overnights, with the hope of that night time pay. I'm nocturnal anyway, so it's a win-win regardless.

I used to work at a sub shop and it was ridiculous, so high paced and exhausting

service industry in general is fine, I work at a bookstore now and it's just dealing with customers and holding down the register

It's not too bad if you've got an excellent crew (which I have been blessed enough to have), but once you start moving up it gets progressively more awful. I'm soon to receive another promotion, but I'm extremely hesitant due to stress. The wage increase is so negligible in comparison to how much additional responsibility and necessary dedication that it honestly blows my mind.

Depends on where you are, here in South Florida you make serious bank.

My boy probably clears $70,000 a year.

yeah. It all depends on the kind of establishment that you're working at. Tips depend greatly on what crowd it brings in and generally if the place is upscale or not.

He makes at least $100 a night on tips alone. I've seen him walk away with $700 in one night.
