I literally never said that. There are some things nature can't treat, but the fact that people just immediately default to popping pills when they get the flu is sickening. There are actual effective herbal cures for moderate sicknesses like that.

Different herbs are definitely effective for common illnesses. If you make tea out of echinacea, for example, it will cure a sore throat faster than any other kind. Some natural things, believe it or not, do have medicinal properties. To claim that no plant across the board has any trace of them is just ignorance.

Homeopathy is giving minute doses of natural substances to cure an illness which, when given in higher doses to healthy people, would give them the same symptoms as the illness the "medicine" is seeking to cure. Samuel Hahnemann invented it on his bullshit idea of "like cures like".

idagf about homeopathy but I won't deny that certain supplements and spices give me a seeming herxheimer reaction (unless I just so happen to get coincidentally significantly more ill/hungover feeling the day after I have Italian spices now. . .), something that didn't happen until I had candidiasis, so I would assume that at least some of the shit is dying from certain things I'm putting into my body.

An argument I see a lot about alternative medicine is that "They lack scientific studies" to prove any claims of cures.
To an extent that's true. Keep in mind that a lot of studies are funded by pharmaceutical companies themselves, which I'm sure are not struggling for money. Since specific herbs and supplements can't be patented, there's no monetary incentive to create and publish studies showing the efficacy of them. This why there "aren't many studies"

By alternative, I'm talking specifically about naturopathic and herbalist practices here, not homeopathy.
