Cersei is metal as fuck. Will be nice to see how she reacts to the truth of Joffrey's death.

One gripe I have is the way characters just seem to teleport across the continent. I suppose it's been getting worse every season but it just feels really bad now. I don't know how Bran made it to Winterfell before Arya.

I just decided to let it go when Varys made his way from Slaver's Bay to Dorne and back in one episode last season.

Really? Bran made it to the Wall in ep 2 whereas Arya just decided to start going to Winterfell at the end of ep 3. Even though Bran has to be dragged, it's still a much shorter distance.

Really? Bran made it to the Wall in ep 2 whereas Arya just decided to start going to Winterfell at the end of ep 3. Even though Bran has to be dragged, it's still a much shorter distance.

Yeah, I guess, but I just assumed she'd get there this episode considering how Jon made it to Dragonstone.

I just ignore the teleporting when it happens in movies and TV. When Varys went from Mereen to Dorne and back it seems weird because it happened so fast in the show. But they never tell us how much time passed. So if it makes you feel better. Assume weeks, or months even, passed between those parts.

Problem with time in this show is that it is not discussed how it occurs. Every event is taking place at different times during the year some events months before others.

My only problem with this explanation is that there's no evidence of time passing within the show. If Varys leaves Meereen to go to Dorne and then come back before Dany sails for Dragonstone, are we supposed to believe that they all sat around in Meereen doing nothing for at least several months to a year?

Actually in real life this happens over long periods of time. Like really long. I mean look at the campaign of the Crusade how many months and years past between battles and different campaigns.

Months pass and lots of things occur. I mean Europa Universalist shows it, takes a year or two to sometimes win a war and that is a big cheat. Now imagine crusader Kings 2 and Europa mixed together and dealing with all those things. It gets really hard.

Mobilizing troops takes ages, months and years. And naval expedition of armies are even longer. I mean Byzantium nearly fell during the early age of Islam but a fleet that was sent to resupply them after their supply lines were damaged due to weather, was sank by a third party leaving the Muslim forces to end their siege.

The first Crusade took a proper year or more before it took off. The peasents crusade or the children crusade not sure which it was went immediately but was trounced as it was not prepared for battle, and that one spent months pillaging Christian lands before landing on Anatolia.

Book wise I want Stannis to live and take the throne which I know isn't going to happen and for Dany to take over Kings Landing and knock out Cersei, but I'm glad Dany is getting raped so far in the show. For the books I don't mind her so much since she doesn't have this "My dad was the king and I'm his sole heir so Westeros is mine and you're all traitors" mentality as much as she does in the show. I find her self entitlement to be annoying.

For the Iron Bank, why are they involved in the slave trade which Braavos shuns? The CEO version of the people who run it would most likely have the same outlook on slavery as what the rulers of Braavos has.

Now for Euron, why does he dress like he's a bisexual Gothic who's in a boy band?

Best episode of the series so far imo. No cringeworthy memery and barely any filler. Bad poosies got what they deserved with more Thot patrol ironborn highlights. I'm warming up to Euron despite how he's nothing like the book iteration, but I guess they're doing a kind of victarion/Euron hybrid which is actually fairly respectable.

My only issue is Casterly Rock. It looked fucking drab. I get that it's technically winter but the architecture just looked...awkward? Idk, guess I was expecting something more lavish considering it's the seat of the most powerful house in Westeros.

Plot-wise it was exciting. But this season's paced like Usain Bolt on cocaine and the writing and characters are really suffering for it.

When Jon was talking about the White Walkers, why didn't Tyrion tell Dany about Ser Alliser going to Kings Landing and talking about the same thing? It still wouldn't have moved her but it still would be worth bringing up since another person from the Knights Watch went all that way to tell their tale.

Same here. I was looking forward to seeing it due to it being curved into and inside a cliff. For the show on the other hand it turned out to be some generic looking castle which the CGI was poorly done. It does look like something which a wealthy and a powerful house would live in, but it looks too plain to me. In my mind the thing should have giant lion statutes around it and giant Lannister banners as well. Then for the wall attacking scene, I feel that those walls are too small. They should have been at least twice as tall.
