I would go one step further and say that the show is shit, too. Even on it's own.

Sure S1~3 are pretty good but 4 and 5 are god-awful, if only from a narrative/direction standpoint.

It isn't. Seasons 1 through 3 are actually pretty faithful to the books sans a few minor discrepancies here and there. It's good as a standalone show too.

S4 was okay, but then S5 took a dramatic nosedive in quality for some reason. It's like it was written by a completely different team of writers.

1: The writers just took a huge dump on this one, and never did anything with Bran, which was one of the storylines I was interested in. They could've...ya know, asked George to help 'em out.

What the fuck is with the religious fanatics? They just popped out of nowhere, and thanks to the poor writing, made one of the most decieving characters be able to be tricked so easily. Then made her a huge sissy, walking around bare naked(which was kinda nice since I hated her, however she is tougher then that.)

I had absolutely 0 interest in the princess storyline in this season, it was very boring and the biggest plot twist was at the end(and even then it was predictable). I'm kinda glad she died, because that wad the only part worth watching.

The Khaleesi and Jon Snew storylines were...meh and why?
Khaleesi left in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nomads, okay, I can deal with that.
John Snew stabbed over...and over...and over, because he was trying his best to prepare against the white walkers?! WHY?!
