Fuck Lenovo with a rusty metal spoon
Swapped out the card. Got a 660 instead. It has the six pin Supplementary power connector. As soon as I got the card in, the computer booted just fine. Again, fuck Lenovo.

Nor do I feel like waiting another week to get that. Nor do I feel like driving three hours to the closest Fry's. I've already been out of gpu power for 4 days and I really cannot wait any longer.

You'd be able to upgrade in the future to multiple better GPUs without hassle.
