This has to be the most overrated Marvel movie. I enjoyed it quite a bit but I wouldn't even call it one of the best Marvel movies, let alone comparing it to the most classic movies of all time.

It's not so much that GoTG was really good, it's that Star Wars is mostly overrated.

We expected to laugh and got to see people kicking ass
And excelled at this which is why it's so good

But Star Wars is hailed for the characters, lore, and storytelling
Which makes it better cinema than GOTG

This. Star Wars has amazing world building, and makes you feel invested in another world. That is one of the main reasons it's so loved, and why it outclasses GoTG by a long shot, in my opinion.

I enjoyed GoTG, but Star Wars is loved by so many for a reason.

It's one of my favorite movies ever honestly.

It's funny, and well-aware of how goofy it is. But you can tell that the movie is 100% aware that some of the things it does are just silly, and it embraces it. All of the characters in it are memorable and likable, and it's easily my favorite Marvel movie.
