Sleep deprivation is a kind of high, so your friend is somewhat right. It's not nearly as powerful as actual alcohol/weed intoxication, though.

Being drunk has had some differences each time. I'm either hyper and goofy, or super tired.

If I've gotten really drunk, then I feel like shit and want to just lay around til my stomach calms the fuck down. I feel dizzy and unbalanced.

being straight edge is fine. being haughty and judgmental towards those who consume intoxicating substances is not. if you're "challenging" your friend, im not inclined to believe that you're entirely motivated by curiosity; tell me how you really feel about people who drink or do recreational drugs.

And FYI, there's nothing from with being haughty or judgmental. People just won't like you much, is all. But if that's not a priority for you, then why would you limit yourself? It feels good to be like that.

No, the people who AREN'T like Verbatim. Normal people.

People won't like if you ARE haughty/judgmental. But if you don't care about people liking you, you have nothing to gain from NOT being like that.

Being drunk is like:

Have you ever had one of those situations where you kinda feel on top of the world? You feel like you have no inhibitions and can say or do anything you want cause whoooooo caaaarreeeess

Along with that, you are also kinda pretty disoriented. Have you ever woken up in the middle of the night having to use the bathroom, so you walk through the dark in a weird dreamlike haze? It's also like this except without the sleepiness

Along with that, your emotions are heightened. For example, i'm always EXTREMELY enthusiastic. If another drunk person says something like "aaayyyyyye" i'll stop whateber i'm doing and say "aaaayyyyyyeee" and they'll respond again like"aayyyye" and it's really stupid but pretty funny also.

Also imagine turning your head to the side very fast, and then your brain catching up with whatever you see about a second later. If you get what I mean

That's what being drunk is like for me. Also i'd much rather be drunk than high any day. I don't do much of either anymore tho

Experiences with intoxication vary from person to person. Depends on your environment, personality, and what you're consuming.

When I'm drunk everything becomes hilarious to me and I become really talkative, I also become really aware of my surroundings but just say silly things instead..
