Have you checked out his other 2 bands? Puscifer and A perfect circle? I've only listened to Puscifer so far, and it's pretty cool. It's sort of different, the way he makes it sound.. I can't really describe it. These are my favorites so far.

Well I've yet to hear APC, Puscifer is pretty good so far to me. But tool will always be the best.

I cant argue with progress, just you.
I love Tool and like APC. The only thing is I cant get into Puscifer. Dont know why and I tried but thats just me.

I've heard it said somewhere that Puscifer was a sort of 'fuck you' to all the really offensive-type dumbass metalheads who listen to maynard's other stuff.

Perfect Circle is awesome. "The Humbling River" is the only song by Puscifer that I like. I only have vague knowledge of Tool.

You should check out tool, as that is his main band. About the best band I've ever heard to me.

It's a stylistic thing, to my mind. Can you imagine a really elitist metalhead enjoying anything about puscifer? It's nothing a tool fan would expect.
