If it's not too much to ask, please send me a friend for Christmas. Yes, I know how juvenile it is to ask this as many people ask for it and you can't just send another person to me. Over the past few years, I have been very materialistic and selfish. Everything I did was in the name of myself. I lied, cheated, and stolen the spotlight for those few minutes where everyone would laugh and I would feel happy. I still am like that which is why I suppose I hate myself so much. If you can't send me a friend, please help me become a useful and purposeful adult. I wish to grow into a mature man who helps others. I find that I have no reason to live except for the use of others. I find that is all I can think of in my dark days. Teach me to not be so self centered and shallow as I currently am. I find that my emotions are artificial and only reflect what people would like to see in that situation. But I find that this letter has only been geared toward myself. For that, I am sorry and will come to my final wish. Please help the people of the world. My soul aches at the thought of the empty shells of the people of Earth and what they do to fill it. If you could help everyone feel a little happier, then maybe life would be better. So I suppose that what I'm saying is, please take my wish and grant it to the world. Or at least, give it to a sadder child who longs for the touch of another person. If you do that, then maybe I would find some peace of my own. But please Santa, I want you to know you're a good man and you embody the true spirit of love. People like you are the reason I live. I want to be close to the man you are when I grow up one day. Perhaps you're not real just like everyone says but I don't believe them. Maybe you don't wear a bright red suit. Maybe you don't live at the North Pole. Or maybe you don't have magical reindeer. But I believe in your spirit. So please please please help a child in need. Any child. Please help her not be so bitter at the world and help her not wonder where her next meal comes from. Let her know the warmth of a loving embrace. And help her to...skip through life and come out just fine. That'll be one more light in the world and that will be enough to help me sleep tonight. I know I'm just some edgy teen on the internet. I know this will never reach you. I know I'm just reaching out in the dark knowing I'll never grab anything. But I suppose the one thing to get from this is that I believe in you Santa. I believe in your spirit. I'll be sure to leave out cookies and milk for you.
