I thought it was odd that countries that were perfectly capable and well deserving of hosting the world cup were being passed over for backwards ass third world nations that could barely hold their shit together long enough for a world cup.

Well, in the history of civilizations and entertainment, people in that field will always get lots. As PSU said, actions, musicians, athletes, etc. They just do because they provide entertainment for billions around the world, and without some form of entertainment, humans would freak out.

You see how they cope in prisons? Humans need some stress relief (other than sex) to cope with life.

Now as for the corruptions, it's the people in the organization who are really getting overpaid. Forget the players, these old men are getting millions of untracked money and finally a government is doing something about it.

Hopefully this means the World Cup's for Russia and Qatar will be brought into light and hopefully rebid upon, because England speciously lost it for the 2018 one, and the US for the 2022 one. At the very least, Qatar should be fixed. People are literally dying there.

of all the sports games being released year to year, FIFA is far from the worst and actually has some amount of effort put into it. It's the games like Madden that are a joke.
