Graduated May 2014. Didn't do anything until November 2014, I volunteered at a food bank three times big deal. Then December I took a one day Microsoft Excel class woop dee doo. Then February I settle for a retail job which I have been doing since then and it is only part-time. It's bad to be working only part-time, but it's the only hours they could give me.

Since then I had interviews for:

News assistant at two separate newspaper publishers

Troubleshooting/tech job

Technical writer for an Aerospace company

There's more but I can't remember now. So now I've decided to pursue teaching because I don't know what else to do career-wise. I left a voicemail for subbing and I'm waiting to hear back. I know what the problem's been for me, it's been laziness mixed with procrastination, and also growing up spoiled. I always told myself I never wanted to be a teacher. Point of this thread? I don't know, I was bored.

what do you find so bad about being a teacher?

I don't like kids. Or I guess I don't know how to interact with them. Which is funny because I'm basically a 23 year old kid. I've just never had to deal with them. I wouldn;t want to teach younger than middle school though.

Lol no, not for me. I like the typical work days. I am the type of person that takes the law seriously, but I still I don't think it's for me.

Learn machining and/or welding. There is a desperate need for both. You can make very good money in both professions. They both go hand-in-hand. Better yet, learn how to weld aluminum, apprentice under someone for a while, then get certified by the FAA and start welding with aircraft. FAA certified aluminum welders are a drying breed that is desperately needed. The younger generations of today aren't replenishing the supply of skilled welders and machinists in today's job market because they all want office jobs. If you do this, you'll be so busy that you'll have to turn down work. You'll make a lot of money and be able to work your own hours. When important things break, important companies are willing to pay whatever is needed to get them working again as soon as possible.

If you feel like you've done nothing, then try anything
Don't put off job/learning opportunities because you think you might not like it

If you don't know what you want to become, don't have preconceptions about what you don't want to become

I'm doing lots of restaurant work even though I want to do music and I'm going to College for accounting.
I guess thoseare just the jobs I can acquire that I don't hate at the moment. Money is good too.
