Raising the standard of broadband to the suggested 25Mbps download/3Mbps upload speeds would be quite a jump from last month's ruling, which stated all internet service providers receiving Connect America funds must offer speeds of at least 10Mbps down and 1Mbps up.

I can't be the only one excited about this, I was honestly shocked just weeks ago when the FCC said they were raising it to 10mbps.

The current minimum requirement for broadband internet is 4mbps down.

It's been like since forever because ISPs like Comcast and ATT won't be making as much money if it gets raised.

This is exceptionally good news to America's current Internet problems, but it doesn't fix the problem.

ATT actually tried to do this earlier last year by selling a 2mbps service and claiming it was faster than broadband.

FCC took ATT to court and rekt them
