Miami is vastly overrated, and this is coming from someone who grew up less than 30 minutes from south beach. It's loaded with Cubans and the city itself is really dirty. If you'd rather stay on the east coast, I recommend going to Daytona or west palm beach, but the spots on the west coast blow both of those out of the water.
