Tis' the season to be comfy, so I thought I'd create a thread dedicated to the recommendations of movies that just have those cosy/winter vibes to them, but don't necessarily have to be Christmas films. Feel free to recommend some yourselves.

It's a cinematic and technical masterpiece, and one of my favourite films of all time. If you're not a horror fan, yeah you're probably right in avoiding it, but I'd still strongly recommend in giving it a shot.

UK Netflix only has Fargo and used to have Dead Snow. What really pisses me off too is that they only have the third Die Hard movie but not the others for some weird reason.

Max Manus: It's about a Norwegian that bombs German boats sending thousands of Nazis to die in our freezing waters.

Flammen og Citronen: It's about a Danish hitman duo that kill a bunch of Nazis.

To be fair, the Thing is over 30 years old. It's a pretty good movie, but not exactly scary by today's standards.

It! The Terror from Beyond Space

Hilarious movie. I mean it's supposed to be serious, but it's just so badly done and cheesy it's like some sort of parody. It did inspire the movie Alien, though, so I do recommend watching it. It's a 50's sci fi film so you know what to expect. Rampant sexism, smoking in the spaceship, horrible physics, ridiculous alien/monster.

There's nothing winter-y about it but I'm just recommending it anyway.
