His eyebrows sparkling, his white beard hangs down to his chest. The thatched mats, spread outside his chise, spread softly, his splendid attos. He polishes, cross-legged, his makiri, with his eyes completely absorbed.

He is Ainu.

The god of Ainu Mosir, Ae-Oine Kamuy, descendant of Okiku-Rumi, He perishes, a living corpse. The summers day, the white sunlight, unabrushed, ends simply through his breath alone.
I enjoyed the ending of 1984, Animal Farm, and Brave New World books. I feel like bleak endings aren't done often enough anymore.

For games, I felt Halo 3 was excellent. The chief is a war machine; outside of war, he has no purpose. So the story ends with him sealing himself far away from civilization until such a time that he's needed again. It's a reversal of how the series started and it was magnificently done. Wolfenstein TNO was great as well, it definitely nails down on what kind of story it told. Bayonetta had a great ending, it was a perfectly crazy ending to a crazy game that encapsulated most of the things that made it great.

For movies, I enjoyed the endings of Fight Club, Click, and Ghost in the Shell.

It genuinely made me cry. No game or movie ever did that to me before.

The Dark Souls "Link the Fire" ending was superb. It shows how depressing everything is.

If I'm not here, I'm doing photography. Or I'm asleep. Or in lockdown. One of those three, anyway.

The current titlebar/avatar setup is just normal.
Film and TV wise I can think of a few.

Futurama (they apparently have 3 endings, seeing as they were cancelled so damn often...), Breaking Bad, Trainspotting, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen (I should get around to reading the book too), Platoon, Grand Budapest Hotel, No Country for Old Men, Pulp Fiction... there's probably more but I can't remember more right now. Pretty much the film has to have a good ending for me to like it anyway, so most films I like fit here.

As for books, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, On the Road, and a few of Clive Cussler's books (some are just a bit too ridiculously happy an ending). 1984 though depressing an ending, it did it well that I wasn't unhappy, plus it left me thinking more about it afterwards which is a good sign for me.

The ending of Blade Runner.
"I have… seen things you people wouldn't believe… Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those… moments… will be lost in time, like tears… in… rain. Time… to die…"

Really? Interesting. I liked it too, but I don't hear about the movie very often from people, let alone that they enjoyed the ending.
Strange. It's generally considered one of the best movies ever made.
Well, neat. It makes me happy that people generally know what makes a good movie.

The main issue is lost potential. If they focused on the solid cast and killers psych (instead of keeping him a mystery) it could have been so much more.

But the ending was great. It's one of those endings you expect in your gut once it gets closer but you just can't accept it. Then it hits you like a train.

Morgan was also in his prime that film

there's only one real "ending" to futurama, to my knowledge, and that's the actual final episode

True, though because of the 2 cancellations they had previously, those were (at the time) final episodes also.

That generation of mystery dungeon was the only game that ever made me feel emotional. I wish they'd make more like that because the new one sucks.

I'm generally satisfied with endings as well

Lost and mass effect are the ones that come to mind that people usually don't like but I'm fine with.

I'm sorry the series ended on a low note for you. Personally, I thought it was a worthy conclusion to a great story, and I'm glad that it never continued only to go downhill like so many other tales.

Halo 3 in general isn't that good. The plot/story is pretty weak for most of the game, and only really becomes somewhat good near the end of the game.
Bungie's Halos took a steep dive after 2 (ODST being an exception).

The story did go downhill, but Halo 4 bought it back up.
