You know, GOOD endings.

Everyone complains about endings. Makes me wonder if there are actually any that have fucking satisfied you.

Me, I'm not one to get disappointed by endings. I've never been upset about any ending... ever. Not to such an extent that I was like, "Ugh, they should have done it completely different. I'm going to be all upset about this."

In terms of games I liked the endings to Halo 3 although it was a bit dull. I also thought the ending to Bioshock Infinite was fucking fantastic. With movies though I haven't really seen an ending that just made me lose my shit. I should watch better movies.

Breaking Bad (Show was decent enough to watch, ending was good enough for me)
Mass Effect 3 (Original - Synthesis ending best ending. It made the omnissiah happy)

Maybe it's just because they stick in my head more clearly, but it does seem like I tend to be happier with the ending of wibbly shit more often than not <.<

I'm trying to think of a few more but I can't really do so because a lot of the things I'm hoping for a good ending on are still ongoing in one shape or another.

The ones that I'm holding out hope for a decent enough ending are

...Can't really think of an ending I really, truly enjoyed. I'm usually just thankful enough when there's a serviceable ending.

Bummed that we may never see Halo 2's original ending. If it's been this long, anything about it might not even exist anymore ._.

Crackdown 2 had a really lousy ending. The game in general was a letdown, but the player character's cutscene incompetence was the last straw for me. And since RealTime Worlds shut down, I have a bad feeling there will never be another game quite like the original.

Was it meant to be unexpected? If not, then yeah, that's a good point to bring up. A good ending doesn't necessarily have to be an unexpected one. People lend too much value to plot twists and the like.

Halo 3's story/plot in general is pretty weak.

It being bad has more to do with advertising lies than anything story related. Well, excluding the huge asspull.

Lead writer advertised 16 different endsings, and that it wouldn't be a red, blue, or green ending. And it totally was.

Breaking Bad's ending was satisfyingly predictable but the way in which it happened was satisfyingly unpredictable. It was brilliant.
The Walking Dead game's ending was very emotional. Season 2 had 5 endings but none of them felt out of place. Some felt more conclusive than others but none of them felt like they were shoehorned in for the sake of having different endings. It was kind of a shame though that the final choice (pre-branching) was VERY easy for most people.
Mass Effect 2 had a fantastic ending sequence.
Fallout: New Vegas.

And...I actually liked Halo 2's cliffhanger. Would have preferred a finished game (well, Bungie generally does better when they DON'T have time to finish) but I didn't have too much of a problem with Halo 2's ending. Got me hyped.

Fight Club's my all time favorite film, and yeah, I have to say, out of all the things I've seen, its ending is top notch.
