Ok people here we go again. As you know my channel and this place are one. We are the same since we joined.

People just dont seem to understand that I have something to loose here. I worked hard for every single person. Made enemies and friends. But the lack of fulfilled promises from people wanting to make content, has caused many of my subs to question my words.

Makes me look bad people!!! What am I? Peter Molyneaux? Its easy for people to not care because they dont have anything to lose.

Cutting to the chase; should the channel just go back to me, the podcast and streaming? And all other user created vids would just be featured and not have a desicated section?

Or should I just wait and push this to happen?

So... does this mean I won't get to stream Shadow of Mordor this coming weekend?

When Hotline Miami 2 comes out you better do a Twitch stream of it.

Well as most of you know. Bnet is where it all started. I still post them there too. And occasionaly AngryJoe checks things out and helps. But all the rest is me.

I am thinkin about doin something else too. Just need motivation and creative ideas for it.

Its easy for people to not care because they dont have anything to loose.

We might have something to tighten, though.

Here's my idea: Don't have an entire section devoted to user created content.
Just upload it and feel free to mention that this was a user created video, but don't reserve an entire section for something that isn't working.

Dude, take me off the list if you want consistency, I have a tight schedule and I've been chipping away at my contributions, but for some of us like me, we are trying, it just takes a fuck ton longer to do these things when we try.

I know how hard it is to work at a collaboration channel, I used to help manage one for an old friend, and I'd personally suggest you go back to doing just you, and throw up videos from others when they show up and not worry about how quickly these other guys are uploading.

I got an idea. Give it to me. <_<

My work schedule has been interfering with possible contributions,  and I'm also busy with plans for moving, like job/apartment searches and shit. :/

Like this. Its a narration type story being voice acted over scenic sets as its being played out. I helped make one once several years ago with Writers Corner. Ill post it soon.

This is primarily why I don'y buy into the whole youtube gaming crowd. A friend of mine is trying it out. And I've told him again and again that unless he kicks it up, it's not going to work. Here's the deal with youtube shit these days.

It's a fad. And everybody and their grandmother is trying to get in on it, especially since now the end all motivator came into play. Money. You've got millions of people to compete with, so many in fact, that the youtube fads aren't even about gaming anymore.

It's an actual business mindset that you have to play and get into. You, as a person have to stand out. You have to play to the crowds, follow the trends, and adopt a gimmick of sorts. It's exactly like a business. Except less cutthroat.

So my point here is?

Personally, I haven't watched many of your videos. I've seen a few, admitedly. But when I just scroll over one of your videos I have a tendency to pass it by. Because it looks dime a dozen to me. I could go onto youtube right now, and find half a dozen videos just like yours in a few minutes.

And I'm not trying to be discouraging here. But those are the facts. You've got millions of people to compete with, just like you. And you're either the creator of such good quality content that you stand out based off your dedication alone, or you adopt a gimmick and roll the dice.

Pewdiepie is swedish or some shit, screams a lot and appeals to the simple minded masses.
Markiplier is uppity, screamy, and has a lot of interaction with his fans.
And I'm sure you can spot the other tricks big names out there pull.

Honestly, the entire thing is roll of the dice. And not only that, but we come down to your original point. Nobody is doing shit.

And that, that's the true issue with this site in general. There are a select few contributors who are trying hard and that's fine. Good on them. But there's a distinct lack of drive, motive, and spark for this place to ever really accomplish anything.

So what can I say to you?

Cut your ties if they're pulling you down. Don't adopt a gimmick and roll the dice. Don't do it for the money. Do it because you love it.

I watch an occasional video that is uploaded on the channel. I know I enjoy them but sometimes the upload schedule is odd for me. I watch most of my youtube content late at night. I can say that Podcast Videos I will never watch. They eat up too much of my bandwidth to make it worth it for me and I'd rather have a Soundcloud link or MP3 than anything.

About people making videos, I know you approached me about making videos and I pretty much shrugged you off. I really lack any motivation to make anything and when I get motivation it's because I find something that I have enjoyed. I will make more videos, not sure if they'll be suitable for your channel, but really only when I have an idea or something I feel like showing. I'm about 1/4 of the way through producing a video I started two weeks ago and another video I was working on in December didn't really pan out well so I scrapped it.

I'm a stickler for quality and all too often I don't meet the standards that I set for myself, and also I lose motivation when I feel that people won't enjoy the videos that I have made/will make. I enjoy watching people but I get a sort of stage fright when making videos because no-one that I personally know will ever tell me why my video is bad and all too often I'm stuck just self critiquing myself.

Also, Copyright. Some of the content I will cover is Nintendo, Indie, and other miscellaneous content that I don't always get a 100% "Go For It" from the Devs/Artists. I really don't want anything to happen to your channel so when I get an idea I usually scrap it if I'm tempted to submit it to you because I don't know the details about who to contact if there is a possibility of Copyright issues. (Music is the #issue when dealing with Indies because some music is copyrighted and restricted while some are not. It's really annoying and the one song I used in the video I showed off here is from an artist that put their music up for free on a Chiptune website and it appeared to be not copyright restricted.)

Pretty much how I feel. I want Youtube/Videos to be a hobby that I do to get better at editing and using software that I'm unfamiliar with. I've also been brushing up on a couple of other skills I will need in life that prevent me from having the time to Write<->Script/Revise<->Rewrite/Record/Edit-Revise.  On average it takes me about 6-8 hours to record footage, 4-5 hours to write the first two drafts of the script, and another 3-5 hours to edit the video.  It's a full time job if I try to do it ever other day and I really don't have that time just to make a video as a hobby. I do it when I have time and when I'm not looking for a job.

Edit: It also takes about 3+ days of an idea and writing for something decent to come to fruition.

I've also been trying to cut as much of the internet out of my life as possible and that creates another divide for my priorities.

Edit: I've also been watching other videos/films/television and paying mind to all the cuts and shots made to get a hang as to what flows very well.
