From what I understand you want the human race to go extinct. Why then would you seek to discourage people from self-destructive habits such as using recreational drugs and alcohol?

Because I don't want people to suffer. The reason I don't want life to exist isn't because I'm a cruel heartless bastard. It's actually the exact opposite, or at least, I'd like to think so. The whole reason is because I don't want life to suffer, because I don't think any amount of happiness can ever outweigh the amount of suffering that exists, and that's just what I believe.

Most people see where I'm coming from here, but they just think I'm too extreme, and that's fine.

How is all existence suffering? From my point of view we are blessed to be self aware creatures on this beautiful planet which is only a grain of sand on an infinite beach. Life can be cruel, arbitrary and chaotic at times but the advantages of being alive and being able to observe the world around you are better than not having the chance to. At least that's just my opinion.

It's pointless to try and explain myself anymore because I'd be making the same points I already have and you'd refute them in the same way.

The argument essentially boils down to the fact that I do not believe, based on the experience and evidence given to me, that the drugs which I have taken are harmful in the extents that I have taken them as opposed to other drugs which are harmful regardless of the amount taken, while you yourself believe that any amount of said materials are harmful. I've already attempted to explain my position via personal experiences and the reactions your body has to each, and you have attempted to explain your own position in turn. There's no where else to go from this point. I'm obviously not going to win you over nor you me, so there's not much of a point in continuing.

I never said all existence was suffering--I just think it's outweighed by suffering. Much of what we do here doesn't really accomplish anything, and SO much of what we do just perpetuates suffering, without us realizing it. The meat industry is a good example. So yeah, sorry, I don't really see the beauty, to be honest.

Even if it doesn't accomplish much how does that mean that living can't be a great experience? Also, how does a lot of what we do perpetuate suffering?
