It's really not a rejection of society that warrants concern, the practicality of requiring somebody to be twenty-one before they can drink is very arguable.

I remember you telling me after you got drunk once, you wanted to kill yourself. To be completely honest, that's pathetic. To have such a low sense of worth that the act of getting drunk makes you consider whether you want to be alive is embarrassing and sad.
