I've always been really good at drawing but I haven't really done any art since high school.

Yeah I did, i'm not good but I have some sketches i'm happy with

I haven't in quite a while, but I had to do a lot of drawing/sketching in Graphics design, it was some really good practice and I enjoyed it a lot, helped with doing things like shading and drawing materials on paper too

I tried but I think drawing is just one those things you either can or can't do

I can't draw faces. Everything I draw is either a vehicle or has a helmet.

i use to be somewhat competent at drawing in like, middle school, but i dropped my doodling habit in high school, so i haven't had practice in ages

that shit's too time-consuming for no reward at all

My phone takes enormous images, but here are the last notable doodles I've done with pencil and paper (Although the one of the right is a photo copy) They hang on the wall above my computer.



The left one is the most recent being a few months old and I'm not quite finished with it, the right one I made some 2 or 3 years ago in Highschool. The proportioning is fucked up, but eh, whatever.

I don't draw all the time, there's long bouts where I do nothing. As it stands there are a few WIP sketches on my computer waiting for me to be in the mood to actually draw.

Last year I drew Angemon and Angewomon but I forgot where I put it

Not counting, of course, the people who make a living off their drawing abilities. I guess they just happened to fall into a black hole.

Also, not counting the self interest and self reward that any person needs when they actively draw/paint.

Any artist should know the number one rule. Fuck everybody else. You do your work for yourself. You do what you like and want. Anybody who follows that knows how much of a reward it can be. Everybody else, whatever they happen to say, whatever they happen to criticise?

They're just along for the ride. Art and drawing is a very personal, self centered endevour.

As a writer who likely shares extremely little of what he writes, I'd expect you to be aware of that concept by now Mr. Verb.
