The first two iterations are basically interchangeable anyway and Akira Toriyama can only occasionally remember the latter even exists, the senile old bastard. Don't read too much into it.

it was definitely SSJ2. she had completely spiked up hair completely different from before, like Gohan at the Cell Games, and blue sparks of electricity around her aura.

and she had a big spike in power that let her fight Kale more evenly. there's no doubt at all that it was SSJ2.

i feel like if they dont outright come out and say "oh ur ssj2" its not

at this point ss2 might as well just be ss1 anyway so

I reckon SSJ1 should have stayed looking the way it did when it was first introduced, with the less defined ice cream hair. It would have made SSJ2 stand out more.

Yeah, but SSJ2 is as different from SSJ1 as SSJ3 is from it.

A SSJ1 at max is called "Full Powered Super Saiyan" or "Super Saiyan Grade 4"
