Functionality meaning a fully customizable interface, and a wider selection of better addons due to the older more established extension community.

i mean, i still use chrome as a force of habit, because you needed it to run coup on b.old
and it's the cuntiest browser i have ever seen

i can't even go back to IE anymore, just because they "upgraded" to IE9, and it sucked
but no, nothing could beat IE8--it was just the perfect vanilla browser
