Does anyone else here struggle to watch films? <.<

I feel like games have completely ruined my attention span for most films, not being able to *do* anything whilst watching a screen ends up with me browsing the news/forums to the point where I miss most of the film >_>

Does anyone else get this problem/solutions?

It depends,
I see where you're coming from, watching films from the couch ends up with me being sort of restless, although cinema experiences haven't been affected yet.

Although I think it's more of an effect of the internet, rather than games.

No, in fact I love long films so long as they keep my interest going.

LOTR extended marathon? Sure, why the fuck not.

On the negative side, it means I waste most of my nights burning through series' of tv shows because they're too "short."

Ever since I got into some good cinema critics like YMS and RLM I have had a lot more fun watching movies because I've started to see all of the tropes and reasons behind things on the screen.

What I actually find more painful is televsion series. If I watch too many episodes too within a certain amount of time, I end up despising the show. How much I can tolerate a series differs from show to show, but generally I can't stomach more than an hour or two of the same thing a day.

Same. For most television shows I can just feel myself being disgusted by how cheap some shows will get just to keep you watching with cliff hangers and emotional ploys with characters.

Nah, but if I'm watching a just about anything relatively long on my PC, I'll periodically pause it to do a bit of other stuff for a little while, and then come back to it.

I've almost completely stopped watching movies tbh. Games and tv series like Game of Thrones ruined them for me. Pacing just feels off. Like they're constantly running out of time and just cut content to fit the story in. Only catch a couple big films a year.

It's not always necessarily that I'm tired of cliff hangers or some other means utilized by the creators to keep me interested from episode to episode. Sometimes I'll just get tired of the subject matter. I'm constantly picking up shows halfway through an episode after weeks or months of neglect just because I needed a breather from it.
