I agree though. A small one would be nice, but only to someone I care enough for to actually do that with. I don't need a paper to tell me I love someone, and while marriage has benefits, it makes splitting up a big pain in the ass. So it would mostly be dependent on if they wanted it, and how much I care about them to go through with it.

That's why I asked how old he was. I expected him to be around my age, and I was right. That's the typical demographic for a forum like this, and I'm not keen on most people's expectations for their future relationships in high school or college. And a good try, but that's definitely not what I would have said.
