I liked them too. Not AS MUCH as the original trilogy, but they aren't dirt.

The Old Republic is just, fantastic though.

well, the other part was the lifeless fanboys who would act like the EU was gospel truth, and not a horid hodge-podge mess of un-peer-reviewed garbage that doesn't account for the hundreds of inevitable in-laden contradictions and internal inconsistencies incurred from creating all this extra crap in the films' periphery

and that's not the even annoying part

the annoying part being--every lifeless fanboy nerd expects you to know everything about the EU, so when you question stuff like the funny-looking lightsaber in the episode 7 trailer, you have all these whiny nerds jumping down your throat saying shit like, "IF YOU PLAYED STAR WARS COCK SQUADRON 5 (some shitty-ass game made in 1567 that no one played, or some boring and poorly written book written by some nobody), YOU'D KNOW WHY HE HAS THAT LIGHTSABRE"

Now the EU's not canon anymore, though. So, HA-HA. FUCK YOU.

The EU has its bad and good spots. I just enjoy those stories because, they aren't in the movies. They are independent of them.

Unfortunately things can be repetitive, like the Emperor returning........3 times?
You've got awesome stories like Revan, the Star Forge, all that.

It's like people's perception of the movies. It has good and bad spots.

I enjoy the original trilogy, game lore, and the prequels to a degree. Kyle Katarn's stuff being placed in the "Legends" category makes me a little, but I don't care that much because I'll just treat it like Halo's switch from Bungie to 343.
