I used to play the viola, but stopped due to feeling like it came in the way of high school, and due to it feeling too much like a chore to practice.
But recently I've began to think about picking it up again, and today I decided to order an electric violin as I found a (relatively) cheap model that still gives you bang for your buck according to the reviews I've seen. A violin is a little bit different from a viola, of course, but they're still very similar instruments save for size and pitch.
Even though I felt tired of playing an instrument before, I hope this time it'll be different. If I can practice on my own terms at my own pace, rather than feeling forced to fill a certain quota each week, maybe it'll be better.
Or maybe it'll not and I'll regret this purchase, heh.
