Un my rifle is good up to 3/4 of a mile or 1.2 km/h. My scope is very high with a 16 magnification zoom. I am shooting no more then at 200 yards at most and while stationary lying down and breath controls my shot go where I am them to go. .303 rifle round has enough punch to kill the target.
You may have sniping experiences from a *video game* but in the real world it's alot more accurate depending on hunter experience. I will openly admit not all 100% of my shots are bull eye.
Reminder that starving to death isn't more pleasant than being shot.
