Let's cut to the chase, Spike was not a good character, he was a bitch, Spike was a selfish loser.

He purposefully let his whole team down to chase after some whore who gets herself killed and he ends up biting collateral. That's not a badass, that's a hopeless romantic that's not living in the sane world. He is basically the anime version of Forest Gump.

He ignored his own advice he gave to his friends and charged into a huge problem blindly when he could've just walked away from his past like he was doing for the entirety of the series but he decides to throw everything away. I can not fathom why people applaud a loser worse than Forest cause at least Forest was retarded.

Real opinion: I love Cowboy Bebop but I do still find Spikes actions in the end a huge blow to the entire series and he was being a huge hypocrite.

That doesn't make him any less of a hypocrite. Going and getting himself killed is the EXACT opposite of what he told Faye to do literally two episodes earlier.
